This site is built to collect as little as possible. It sets no cookies, shows no ads and does not track you across other sites. This page explains what is processed when you visit, and why.
Who is responsible
Seymur Mammadov, Graz, Austria. Email: hello@mseymur.com. See also the Impressum.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you open a page, your browser sends technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Vercel processes this to deliver the site and keep it secure, and keeps server logs only for a short period. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Analytics
I use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that I host myself on Vercel. It uses no cookies and does not store your IP address. Your IP is used only to estimate your country and, combined with a key that changes daily, to count unique visits within one day. I see totals such as page views, referring sites, countries and device types, plus clicks on a few buttons and links. No profile of you is built. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Contact form
If you send a message, your name, email address, topic and message are transmitted to Splitforms, the service that delivers the form to my inbox. Splitforms stores submissions with its hosting providers, including Supabase on Amazon Web Services. I use your details only to reply to you and do not add you to any mailing list. I delete enquiries at the latest 12 months after our last exchange, unless we start working together. Legal basis: steps you request before a possible agreement, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
You can also simply email me instead of using the form.
Images and content
Project and article content, including images, is served from Sanity (Sanity AS, Norway), the content system behind this site. Loading an image sends your IP address to Sanity’s content delivery network. Some project videos are stored as files with Framer (Framer B.V., Netherlands), so loading them sends your IP address to Framer. Legal basis: legitimate interest in delivering the site’s content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Embedded videos and documents
Some project pages include videos from YouTube or Vimeo, or documents from Figma or Google. These do not load automatically. You see a placeholder first, and nothing is sent to the provider until you choose to load it. Once loaded, the provider receives your IP address and may set cookies or use similar storage under its own privacy policy. YouTube videos use Google’s privacy-enhanced mode. Legal basis: your consent, given by loading the content (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Reloading the page removes the embed again.
Links to other sites
Links to LinkedIn, Instagram, GitHub and other sites are plain links. Nothing is shared with them unless you click. Fonts are hosted on this site, so no font service is contacted.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email me at hello@mseymur.com and I will reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the one in the EU country where you live or work.
